London’s Little Birthday + Dedication

We celebrated London’s first birthday a few weeks ago. I cannot tell you earnestly enough how crazy it is to me that she’s already a year old. Like every other mom out there, I feel that strange pull between the sweetness of what was and the excitement of what’s to come. I really love toddlerhood, and I’m looking forward to seeing London’s personality continue to develop and cheer her on as she grows!

We wanted London to have a fun, easy party with the people that we love. Her birthday turned out to be everything we hoped for her! This mama ain’t a fool, so we had the party at a local park. The June gloom held off, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Our theme was ‘vaguely British’ which was excellently timed between Memorial Day and Fourth of July, so there were a lot of blue and red party supplies in stock!

We are so so thankful for all of the friends and family to came to celebrate with us– including my parents who flew in for her birthday weekend! Your presence made her birthday so special.

The next day the celebrating continued! We had London’s dedication at church. For her life verse we choose Philippians 4:4

Always be joyful for you belong to the Lord.

That describes our little lady perfectly, doesn’t it?

London, being your mother for the last year has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Sweet girl, we love you oh-so-much. Happy Birthday!
